Perk’s kitchen staff will, of course, offer a special menu for these nights.
Saturday, October 7th ~ The Varsity Band
Many young musicians ask to play our stage. While we are always open to new performers, offering them a venue to show off their style and talents, we also try to select quality new music. We feel we have just that, this week!
The Varsity Band, formed at the Full Moon School of Music, performs a combination of blues, rock, soul and alternative. These guys have played already at Athfest 2017, High Wire, and The Foundry in Athens, where they won a battle of the bands competition! Wow! They are popular for many events, as a result of their hard work and success in these venues.
All of the members of the band are High School Students between the ages of 14 and 16….Our own Bennett Evans (son of Mr. & Mrs. Brad Evans of Madison) is the Lead Guitarist and Lead Vocalist. He is a student at Morgan County High. Joining him are Savanna Huskey, Rhythm Guitar, from Prince Avenue Christian School; Sam Smith, Bass Guitar, Vocals, from Prince Avenue ChristianSchool; Adaira Chapman, Rhythm Guitar, Homeschool Student; and Aaron White, Drums and Vocals from Oconee County High School. We are so pleased to welcome them to Perk, and show them our support in their musical endeavors. Won’t you join us? There is no cover charge….these guys just want to be heard and to entertain you, with a quality sound!
Along with the sound, comes great food and fellowship at the Perk! It’s going to be a fun night!
